In Part 3, The Betrayed Fiancée, Kristi Palmer thought Joel Byler was the man she would marry, until she suddenly learns he has been hiding a lot from her. Wanda Brunstetter is an award-winning romance novelist who has led millions of readers to lose their heart in the Amish life. She is the author of over 60 books with more than 7 million copies sold. Many of her books have landed on the top bestseller lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, Publisher's Weekly, CBA, ECPA, and CBD. Wanda is considered one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre, and her work has been covered by national publications, including Time Magazine and USA Today.

Wanda's fascination with the Amish culture developed when she met her husband, Richard, who grew up in a Mennonite church, and whose family has a Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Meeting her new Mennonite sister-in-laws caused Wanda to yearn for the simpler life. In their travels, she and her husband have become close friends with many Amish people across America. Wanda's desire to explore their culture increased when she discovered that her great-great grandparents were part of the Anabaptist faith.

All of Wanda's novels are based on personal research intended to accurately portray the Amish way of life. Many of her books are well-read and trusted by the Amish, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the people and their customs.

Wanda's primary attraction to the Amish is their desire to live a devout Christian life that strives to honor God, work hard, and maintain close family ties. Whenever she visits her Amish friends, Wanda finds herself drawn to their peaceful lifestyle, sincerity, and close family ties, which is in stark contrast to the chaos and busyness that plagues so many modern "Englishers." Time and time again, Wanda loses her heart in the Amish life, and she hopes her readers will, too. For more information, visit: www.WandaBrunstetter.com

I found that  when reading these serial novels that if you read them back to back they are not so bad. Don't buy them one at a time and read them. They end so that you are left hanging and wanting more.
If you buy them all when they come out then wait until you get the last one you will enjoy them so much more.
I read book 2 and book 3  back to back and I loved them so much better.
These characters are the best ones yet. I love the storyline.
I can't wait to find out what happens in book 4 with Kristi and Joel. So much to look forward to in the next book. You are going to love the Amish, English storyline.
I gave these two books 4 stars each. I highly recommend this series.
I was given copies of these two books by the author for my honest review.

Come With Me By Suzanne Eller

Proverbs 31 Author Calls Women to a Revolutionary Faith
What if there was a real-life invitation to a lifetime of unexpected destinations and adventure? What if your faith was the key?

In her warm, conversational way, Proverbs 31 author Suzie Eller shows how your faith is just that. How when you take a step away from the uncertainty, the to-do list, the busy life, the worries and excuses, you take a step toward the One who promises to delight and surprise. Who brings you deeper than you ever thought possible.

Two thousand years ago, 12 men answered the call to follow a man they hardly knew--and they were changed in ways they never imagined. Today that same invitation echoes across history, beckoning you to an adventure that will spill into every aspect of your faith and life.
Come with Me. Will you say yes?

A Daughter's Dream By Shelley Shepard Gray

In Shelley Shepard Gray’s second book in her Charmed Amish Life series, a young teacher and farmer discover they have much in common, especially when it comes to healing old wounds from the past…and finding love in one another.
Rebecca Kinsinger has always dreamed of being a teacher. But when she’s given the opportunity she’s been waiting for at Charm Amish School, she’s dismayed to discover that teaching is hard work—work she’s afraid she’s not very good at.

That is, until Lilly Yoder joins the class. A thirteen-year old who’s just lost her parents, Lilly is in need of someone like Rebecca. For the first time since starting her new job, Rebecca feels a sense of purpose. But when she meets Lilly’s uncle, Jacob, his good looks and sweet, easy-going temperament are hard to ignore. How can she even entertain romantic thoughts of Jacob when his niece is her student?
Suddenly becoming Lily’s sole caregiver, Jacob Yoder never thought he’d be a single parent—or a farmer. Having been living in Florida as a carpenter, Jacob feels more at home wielding a hammer than a backhoe. The only bright spot in his life is Rebecca Kinsinger. As Lily and Rebecca develop a bond, Jacob’s fondness for the pretty teacher grows, too.

But when a fateful accident brings them together, Rebecca and Jacob must choose between duty and desire. Will they follow the path before them? Or set out to find true happiness…and true love?

This is the second book in The Charmed Amish Life series. But it can be read as a stand alone.
I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline. This is not a predictable Amish read. Its a different story then most Amish books.
You are going to enjoy this book, and be waiting on the next book in the series.
Gray has a way of making you wish that you were there in Amish Country with the families that she writes about.

She worked as a journalist for almost ten years and has a passion for writing exciting fiction that uplifts, encourages, and gives glory to God.

Don't you all just love this cover?
Kinsey wrote a wonderful book with Greater Love. I fell in love with Rainey and Trey and just had to see what happened between them. Kinsey grabbed my attention and didn't let go. I truly hated to see the book come to an end. This is a story that will tell about God's love and redemption no matter our circumstance. I was guessing to where the book would turn next and I love that about this book. Some authors have become so predictable that you can tell where the story will go before it gets there. I really liked Kinsey's book and recommend this one as well.
I gave this book 4 stars.

Laura Sullivan is such a wonderful musician. The genre of music that I normally listen to is contemporary Christian music, but I genuinely love Laura's new CD. Each song is classical, written and composed by Laura. The music is very relaxing. I don't like a completely quiet house so I normally will have the TV on low volume wihile I read. This CD was perfect to have playing while I read. I like her music and would advise anyone to purchase this CD it is delightful.
This is a 4 star CD and would make a wonderful gift.

I was so excited to go back to Hidden Springs Kentucky. After reading book one I had been waiting for this mystery to arrive.  This is the best mystery series and I like it much better then Gabhart's Shaker series. I can't wait for book number three.
Murder Comes by mail is a great mystery. It was good to visit Hidden Springs and help Michael and the gang figure out the murders that took place. There are a few characters that return in this book plus a few new ones as well. The characters are written in such a way that they come to life right off the pages. Gabhart had me hooked from the very first word to the very last. This is the second book in the Hidden Spring series but it can be a stand alone book. The first book of the series was very good but I think that this one is even better. This book has it all comedy, romance, mystery and suspense. I loved this book. Run to the nearest book store and buy this book. You will not regret it.
I gave this book 5 stars two times. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Wild and Free By Jess Connolly & Hayley Morgan

For all the fullness of God available to His daughters, we often feel limited by two defining insecurities: “I am too much,” and “I am not enough.”
Co-authors and best friends Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan have felt the same, until one essential question turned the tables on it all: If God is wild and free and he created women, what does this mean for us today?
Wild and Free is an anthem and an invitation in equal parts to find freedom from the cultural captivity that holds us back, and freedom to step into the wild and holy call of God in our lives. With fresh biblical insight tracing all the way back to Eve and a treasury of practical application, Jess and Hayley reveal how women today can walk in the true liberty we already have in Jesus.
Because you don’t have to be everything to everyone. You don’t have to try so hard to button it up and hold it together. And you certainly don’t have to quiet the voice that God gave you when he created you to sing. Wild and Free will help you shake off the lies of insecurity in your life, and step forward to maximize your God-given influence for his glory and the world’s good.

This is a review that is hard to put into the right words. I want to do this book justice but, you just need to pick up a copy of this book and dive into it. You won't be sorry ladies.
I call this a book of hope. Ladies again this is a MUST read. It is full of stories we can all relate to and toward by two ladies that love us and want to share this journey with us.
I underlined and highlight over half of the book. SO much helpful info in this little book.
Reading it is just like sitting and talking with Connolly and Morgan and spending quality time with close friends.
They define WILD as: walking in who God made us to be and FREE as: resting in what Jesus has done for us.
I never thought of those two words being defined like that.
A life changing book for us ladies who are ready for the change.
I gave this book 5 stars. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

The Amish Firefighter By Laura Hilton

A Beautiful Young Woman Banished from Home Abigail Stutzman thought it was bad enough being dropped at the nearest bus station and sent to live several states away with some relatives she'd never heard about, much less met. But now, just a week after her arrival in Jamesport, Missouri, she finds herself at the scene of a barn fire. An intentional barn fire. And all fingers are pointed at her. She's desperate to prove her innocence and protect her reputation, but nobody's making that easy to do. And God certainly doesn't seem willing to help.

A Brave Firefighter with an Agenda of His Own
Sam Miller is in the process of turning over a new leaf. Determined to atone for the follies of his past, he is a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, and a doctor–in–training. When local barn fires escalate, everyone suspects arson. And since the Miller family are among the victims, no one is more determined to see the perpetrators brought to justice than Sam.

A Kindled Flame Neither One Could Have Anticipated
When their paths first cross, at the site of a barn burning, the emotional intensity rivals the warmth of the flames. Soon, they must decide whether this fire is one they should feed or extinguish. And they'll discover that the truth can prove more dangerous than a blazing inferno.

What lady hasn't ever dreamed of falling in love with a fireman. Abigail and Sam are two characters that will please the reader. The two main things that grabbed my attention in this story is underlined tone of forgiveness and God's love. I love a fiction story where the author writes of God in the pages. The book flowed very well. I couldn't give enough kudos to Hilton on her character development. She is one of the best at creating characters, that you just fall in love with. It is a very well written book and that is what I have come to expect from Hilton's books.
I gave this book 4 stars and recommend it.

Broken Ground By Karen Schreck Giveaway

When a young oil rig widow escapes her grief and the Texas Dust Bowl, she discovers a surprising future—and new passion—awaiting her in California in this lyrically written romance by the author of Sing for Me.
Newly married to her childhood sweetheart, twenty-one-year-old Ruth Warren is settling into life in a Depression-era, East Texas oil town. She’s making a home when she learns that her young husband, Charlie, has been killed in an oil rig accident. Ruth is devastated, but then gets a chance for a fresh start: a scholarship from a college in Pasadena, CA. Ruth decides to take a risk and travel west, to pursue her one remaining dream to become a teacher.

At college Ruth tries to fit into campus life, but her grief holds her back. When she spends Christmas with some old family friends, she meets the striking and compelling Thomas Everly, whose own losses and struggles have instilled in him a commitment to social justice, and led him to work with Mexican migrant farmworkers in a camp just east of Los Angeles. With Thomas, Ruth sees another side of town, and another side of current events: the numerous forced deportations without due process of Mexicans, along with United States citizens of Mexican descent.
After Ruth is forced to leave school, she goes to visit Thomas and sees that he has cobbled together a night school for the farmworkers’ children. Ruth begins to work with the children, and establishes deep friendships with people in the camp. When the camp is raided and the workers and their families are rounded up and shipped back to Mexico, Ruth and Thomas decide to take a stand for the workers’ rights—all while promising to love and cherish one another.

A freelance writer and frequent visiting professor of English at Wheaton College, Karen lives with her husband and two children in Wheaton, Illinois.

This was the first book I have read by Karen Schreck.
Broken Ground is a historical novel that is written with 1930 backdrop. The book has all the issues that were happening during that era. The story is written in the perspective he main character Ruth. The Schreck does a very good job showing what Ruth is thinking and feeling throughout the book. Ruth was a newlywed when tragedy occurs and she is widowed. I am a fairly newlywed myself and can't fathom how it would be picking up broken pieces and starting over. It would have been even harder in the 1930s than it would be today. Beth learns about God's grace as she faces struggles with her overbearing family that means well and the discrimination issues that take place.
I gave this book 4 stars.

Awakening is a  well written novel.  Arnpriester has written a Fantasy, Thriller and Romance rolled up on one good novel. I was quickly pulled into the story as I started reading. Live Fearless Adult Coloring book By Margaret Feinberg

Embrace God's Comforting Presence While You De-stress, Meditate, and Create!

A self-described "hot mess," Margaret Feinberg is a popular Bible teacher and speaker at churches and leading conferences such as Catalyst, Thrive, and Women of Joy. Her books, including The Organic God, The Sacred Echo, Scouting the Divine, and Wonderstruck and their corresponding Bible studies, have sold nearly one million copies and received critical acclaim and extensive national media coverage from CNN, the Associated Press, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and more.

She was recently named one of 50 women most shaping culture and the church today by Christianity Today, one of the 30 Voices who will help lead the church in the next decade by Charisma magazine and one of the '40 Under 40' who will shape Christian publishing by Christian Retailing magazine. Margaret lives in Morrison, Colorado, with her husband, Leif, and their superpup, Hershey. She believes some of the best days are spent in jammies, laughing, and being silly.

Now that you've read the official bio, here's the kick off your shoes and drink iced tea on the back porch version:

Margaret spends most mornings with her good friends Coffee and God. Without Coffee, mornings would be difficult. Without God, life would be impossible.

After a caffeine and God infusion, you'll often find Margaret (puppy-in-tow) adventuring outdoors--she enjoys hiking, river rafting, and scanning the night sky for the Northern Lights and shooting stars.

She boasts an exceptionally dry sense of humor that she attributes to her Jewish father. Little known secret: He was recently inducted into the Surfer's Hall of Fame, and her mom earned her captain's license for 60-ton ships. They're pretty amazing. You'd like them.

Married to Leif for almost a decade, Margaret's known for losing things like her sunglasses on her head, keys in her hand, or her phone for the 12th time in the same day. Luckily, Hershey hasn't been left anywhere... yet.

For being a writer, friends say she has a surprisingly narrow vocabulary and uses a lot of the same phrases including, "I'm game", "Whahhooo!" and "Oooh! Let's do it."

Always up for an adventure, Margaret is known to drive 50 miles to chase down a food truck and snag Groupons for skydiving on a whim. Some describe her as a bat out of hell behind the wheel. Steer clear. She prefers watching comedies and laughing until her tummy aches over doing sit ups. And if you touch her belly button she gets nauseous. So don't do it.

I love the adult coloring books. Some call it a fade I call it relaxing.  I think they will be around for a long time. This is the second one I got by Feinberg and they are by far the best ones you get to color and read scripture all at the same time. It's a time to reflect on God's word. I love the blank pages pray and reflect pages to write whatever is on your mind. These make the best gifts for someone at church or in your office that is going through something and you just want to let them know that you are thinking of them.
I gave this adult coloring book 5 stars. I love it.
I was given a copy of this coloring book by the publisher for me honest review.

In His Place By Harry Griffith

Charles Sheldon’s WWJD? was a significant challenge in its time, but God calls us to do more than wait until we are facing a decision and then choose to do what we think Jesus would do. We are to incarnate Christ in our time, being conscious of the presence and power of God within us in all of our thoughts and actions. This is what pastor Steve Long wants his congregation to understand. When Long challenges his prominent but self-satisfied congregation to become a living force for Christ in their small North Georgia town, he is blindsided by personal trials. Responding to Christ’s command “As the Father has sent me, so I send you,” Pastor Long tackles these difficult situations—and more—over a tumultuous week of trials and testing and ultimately learns (as he leads) what it means to walk In His Place.

I have to say this is one of my top five favorite fiction books of 2016.  This book was very well written.
Do you remember some years ago the What Would Jesus Do  frenzy that was going on? This is the modern day WWJD.
I never stop reading until the very last page. I wanted Pastor Steven to be my Pastor, he was my favorite character in this book.
You should always treat people as you want to be treated and Pastor Steven has that in mind and shares it with his church.
Pastor Steven goes through so much but never gives up and stands on his faith.
I gave this book 5 stars two times. I HIGHLY recommend this book! Run and get your copy today!
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher for my honest review.
