Feisty wedding photographer Hannah McDermott has dealt with her share of difficult brides. But none can compare to the ultimate Bridezilla she's dealing with now. Still, she's trying desperately to impress Bella Neeley, Galveston Island's most sought-after wedding planner, so she can take the top spot in Bella's list of recommended photographers--a spot currently occupied by her arch-rival, Drew Kincaid. What she doesn't count on, however, is falling head over heels for the competition.
With her contagious humor and cast of quirky characters, Janice Thompson gives readers more of the bridal business drama they want in a brand-new series all about those long-suffering people who make beautiful weddings happen. Readers are desperately waiting for more of Bella and this new series brings her back in a big way, while introducing new characters fans will love. Fans will laugh out loud as they experience this breezy and entertaining novel from a great storyteller.

This the first book I have read by Janice.
I want to start by saying that I have heard great things about this author, how most of her books all full of humor. And fun easy reads. So I was thinking that was what I was going to be reading. A fun, easy, fast read.
While the read was cute it just felt like a first draft as if she rushed to write it.
The characters seemed way to cookie cutter to me, maybe it was just me.
So I well leave you with this, this book was not my cup of tea. I give it 3 stars.
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher

Thanks fr the review Mary. I value your opinion on books as I know you give honest reviews. This book doesn't sound like one I care to read.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, thank you for your honest opinion, Mary. Constructive criticism is a help to authors, in order for them to find ways to make improvements. Best wishes to the author!
ReplyDeleteJanice is one of my favorite authors. The Weddings by Bella series, which sparked this new one, has quirky characters and humor with romance mixed in - just the way I like it. Everyone has their preferences in reading. I happen to enjoy this author's style and have recommended her books often. I have just about all of her other books, but I haven't gotten this one yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary for your honest review!!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to win it anyway. She lived close to Houston (like at the edge), and directs plays at a theater in Kingswood where my granddaughter lives. Please put my name in. Maxie
