If I won the lottery... It's a fun scenario to imagine... Unless you are Matt McAllister. Matt is the pastor of the fifth largest church in his state. He was a public opponent of the lottery. When he ends up with a ticket, he's surprised and careful to hide it while his children begin celebrating the possibilities. All he has to do is keep it a secret until the drawing is held and the ticket becomes worthless, right?
m thomas long is a writer, trainer and golfer living in Tennessee with his wife. He has a beautiful daughter and recently acquired a wonderful son-in-law.
This book has a very good story line. I like Matt McAllister in the story. I do NOT play the lottery and never have. So this book was really neat to see how it all played out. I really enjoyed all of the twist and turns. I never knew what was going to happen next. I can't wait to see what Mr. Long writes about next.

I would put most in savings, give a lot to support Christian schools and small churches, buy a house and car, and travel

I think if I won the lottery I would pay all my bills off ,put some in the bank and with the rest I would helps out that needed it .I would try to do it with wisdom .There is a couple that I know of that won $500,000,000 and went through it in 6mos. Kinda makes one sick knowing that they just blew it !!!Thanks for the contest ,Dana
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would have to play the lottery, which I don't. For giggles, lets just say I did and I won. I would tithe first. Tell my husband he could quit his job and retire early. I would also give my children some of it. Go on a nice vacation and invest the rest after taxes!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun, thoughtful book to read. Thanks Mary for your review.
Blessings!
I would give well over 10% to my church, help out several needy organizations, and then would move away and carry a very special friend on a long vacation, and pay off my bills.
ReplyDeleteIf I one the lottery I would give a large amount to mt church.I dont think I would tell them where it came from.Pay off my bills and give generously to some needy christian ministries.I would then give my self something.

I would help out with give a large sum of money to St. Judes Children's hospital and Children Miracle network. Would also help my children out and pay off out bills and try to wisely invest what is left for our older age and we're getting there right now.
ReplyDeleteI'd pay my tithes, I'd set up education funds for each of my 22 grandchildren. Then I'd retire.
ReplyDeleteIf I won the lottery I would pay off all debts, and my children's, set up trust funds for my grandchildren, bank enough for us to live on, hire a cleaning lady, and the rest would go to local worthwhile charities, homeless centers, needy women and children, etc.

DeleteThank you, Mary! Do you need my address? ;)
DeleteIf I won the lottery I would do tithes first, then get me a better place to live, and help my children get out of debt. I would be able, unlike now, to help St. Judes Hosp. with all the good work they do. They are great! And, be able to travel by plane to some of my step-childrens and grandkids to see them and meet great-grandkids I've never met yet. Also my brother who lives in NY. And, there are other great places I could help like Veterans, Feed the Children, etc. But this is only a dream. Maxie ( mac262@me.com )
ReplyDeleteIf I won the lottery I would pay off bills, buy a house, go on vacation, give to the church, my boss because she has helped me tremendously. Try to help anyone I could.
