Looking for a Bible with insights about what you as a woman most need to hear? These are included as well in the intuitive, hopeful devotional thoughts located at the end of each daily reading. The NIV Once-A-Day Bible for Women organizes the clear, accessible New International Version Bible into 365 daily readings. Each day’s reading includes a portion of Scripture from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and a Psalm or a Proverb, followed by an encouraging devotional thought specifically written for women.

First let me say this is not a Bible that you can carry to church, the cover is not very durable. It will however last at home as a Bible to read each day and you could always put a Bible cover over it.
It is not what I expected but it is very helpful to read the Bible in a year.
It has Scripture reading each day from the Old Testament and the New Testament as well as Something from Psalms or Proverbs and  a short devotional as well each day.
The writing is a little to small for me.
I gave this Bible 4 stars. I think it would make a nice gift to give a women who is a new Christian.
I was given a copy of this Bible by the publisher for my honest review.

  3. This sounds like the perfect Bible for me. I love the NIV translation and I like the daily readings in chronological order. I have a difficult time disciplining myself, and this might be a way that I could keep on track every day. Thanks for the honest review, Mary, and thanks for offering this contest!

  5. Thanks for your honest review, Mary. Please do not enter me in the drawing as the print would probably be too small for me. I had the same trouble with a devotional that I ordered - print too difficult to read.
Maybe if they come out with a large print version, I'll pick up a copy. I do love the NIV version of the bible.
