Where We Belong by Savannah Carlisle

Chloe Beckett has always believed in the magic of community. Raised on Big Dune Island, Chloe found her place in the kitchen of her grandmother’s coastal home, where neighbors became family and stories were passed down over cups of coffee.

Years later, Island Coffee isn’t just a café. It’s the heart of Main Street. Locals gather beneath its string lights, with mismatched china, sharing morning rituals and lifelong memories. After years of living in her famous brother's shadow, Chloe is stepping into the spotlight—competing on a reality TV show for a prize that could expand her café’s legacy to the next town over.

However, the competition is fierce with social media superstars and slick MBAs. Chloe knows exactly who she should ask for help—
Michael Russo, a New York real estate investor whose world revolves around profits and projections. Her crush on him has gone unnoticed for years, and this is the perfect excuse to spend more time with him. But it's Chloe who begins to rewrite everything he thought he knew about success.

Will competing for her dreams finally help Chloe transform from the little sister who needed help into the woman who can stand on her own, both in the eyes of her family and Michael?

A story of second chances and beachy charm, Where We Belong is a celebration of community, connection, and the courage it takes to build something that truly matters.

Carlisle writes beach reads that touch you. And make you feel all the feels. I laughed; I cried, I could not put this book down. This is one of the best summer beach read series. It can be read as a standalone but why would you not read them both with great writing and a storyline like this one.

The Summer of Staring Over by Savannah Carlisle GIVEAWAY!

When Callie Jackson left her island hometown years ago with big dreams, she knew precisely the star she wanted to be, and she achieved it. At least for a little while.

Jesse Thomas had always planned to move to Nashville with Callie, but he was supposed to get there before her, knocking out his first year at Vanderbilt while she finished high school.

Neither of them imagined she'd get discovered so early or that family turmoil would put Jesse's family on the brink of financial collapse. He needed to be on Big Dune Island, and she needed to leave. So, Callie did the only thing she could think of that would make him stay: she cut all ties.

Then, all her dreams came crashing down. As she sorts through the wreckage of her career, her Uncle Lonnie forces her to return to Big Dune Island to clean out the family home he's recently sold. And she knows she'll have to face Jesse.

A touching beach read getaway that will have you wishing for long strolls along the waterfront town of Big Dune Island. If you're searching for a beachy, feel-good, small-town romance, look no further!

I love my trip to small town Big Dune Island. Carlisle has given us a sweet romance, and I again have devoured this fun summer beach read. I can't wait to go back to Big Dune Island again soon. I recommend this one.
The perfect characters very well developed, and the setting could not be more perfect.

The Library of Second Chances by Savannah Carlisle

Daily walks along the sparkling shoreline and chats with her best friend are part of bookstore owner Lucy Sullivan's slow-paced life. And that’s just how she likes to spend her time in the close-knit community of her picturesque village.

Lucy also adores maintaining the town’s Little Free Library. Those who leave a book there include notes to the next reader. And Lucy, herself, has gotten a few that have her smitten. Life couldn't be better in her quaint beach village with the sway of sea grass in the soft coastal breeze.

When she hears
Logan Lancaster is brought in to solve the town’s budget deficit, Lucy isn’t at all excited about his vision for growth along the waterfront. To make matters worse, it's Lucy who's appointed to oppose Logan in a series of public forums for the planned expansion. The quaint life she's built for herself will never be the same.

They couldn’t be more opposite. Except for one tiny thing: unbeknownst to both of them, they’ve been swapping anonymous notes in the Little Free Library...

My Thoughts...
What a fantastic debut. Lucy and Logan were so much fun to read about and the romance, letters left at the Free Library that was so clever. I read it in one sitting and I must say, Carlisle is on my top three authors I must read. I cannot wait until her next book.
