There are 8 Bible stories retold (in rhyme) in Little Chick's Bible.
They are as follows:
- God's Wonderful Work, Genesis 1-2 (Creation)
- God's Friend Noah, Genesis 6-8 (Noah's Ark)
- Baby Moses in a Boat, Exodus 1-2 (Baby Moses)
- David Fights a Giant, 1 Samuel 17 (David & Goliath)

The Bible stories are easy to understand and perfect for a toddler.
I'm not caring for the illustrations they are not that appealing to a small child, but the soft cover and the rhyming stories make up for that.

Everyone has thier Little Secrets By Michael Louthan GIVEAWAY!

It all started with a little secret... Zoe Von Lynskey is a typical 13-year-old girl with an idyllic life and a bright future ahead of her-that is, until her 16-year-old brother is accidently shot by his friend Kirk Anderson. But is Josh's death truly an accident? Zoe suspects not. Kirk's parents and Zoe's parents are friends, and the two dads work for the same company, but Kirk has always been a bully to Zoe. With her big brother no longer there to protect her, she is now alone and vulnerable. When Zoe makes a fatal decision to protect herself against Kirk, her world begins to crumble under the weight of her secret. Her computer diary is her only confidant as she documents the wrenching depression, anxiety, partying, pregnancy, and suicide attempt that result. Everyone Has Their Little Secrets is a sharply observant and moving portrait of a teenager grappling with very adult problems-a stunning coming-of-age novel that pulls no punches.

We need more books on bullying in my opinion. This book was sort of hard to get into it may have just been me but it's very slow and not an attention getter.
I will say it needs to be told bullying is so bad this day and time so I'm happy that someone took the time to write such a book.
I gave the book 3.5 stars based on the writing and the not holding my attention I had to force myself to read it.

Deadly Echoes By Nancy Mehl

After a youth filled with tragedy and upheaval, Sarah Miller's life is finally settled with all echoes of the past silent at last. She happily calls Sanctuary her home and spends her days teaching at the local school.
Sarah's joy at her recent reunion with her sister, Hannah, and meeting the niece she didn't know she had is too soon interrupted when Deputy Sheriff Paul Gleason informs Sarah her sister has been killed.
As she learns more about Hannah's death, the circumstances are eerily similar to their parents' murder. Sarah enlists Paul's help in digging deeper into the murders the police are dismissing as burglaries gone wrong. Paul's concern encourages Sarah's growing feelings for him, but as their investigation peels back the layers of lies almost twenty years old, they get close to uncovering the truth one person will do anything to hide--even if that means coming after the last remaining members of the Miller family.

Deadly Echoes is a nice Christian suspense. The characters were introduced and developed well. As the plot unfolded it  kept me guessing who the real bad guy was until the very end. The story has a good mixture of faith and suspense.
I have to say this series has been one of my favorites of Nancy's. I was a little disappointed to see this book end.
I gave this book 5 stars and I recommend it.

I grew up with a steady diet of William Shakespeare and Jane Austen. After all that literary immersion, I naturally decided to get a degree in mathematics, which came in handy when one of my six children needed help with homework. After my fourth daughter was born, I started writing. By juggling diaper changes, soccer games, music lessons, laundry, and two more children, I finished my first manuscript--a Western--in just under fourteen years. I now write Inspirational Amish Romance. My goal is to write uplifting, inspiring stories with happy endings and hopeful messages. If my books make readers want to give themselves a big hug or jump up and down for joy, I've done my job. I am a member of Romance Writers of America and American Christian Fiction Writers and am represented by Mary Sue Seymour of The Seymour Agency.

The Matchmakers of Huckleberry Hill is my new Amish Romance series set in Wisconsin on a little hill in Amish country.

The series is about an elderly Amish couple who try to find suitable mates for their grandchildren. What could be more fun than throwing two young people together to see if sparks ignite? No one would ever suspect two octogenarian Amish folks of mischief.

I have four daughters, two sons, three sons-in-law, and two adorable grandsons. I live in the foothills of the Wasatch Front with my husband and one son still left at home.

I Choose You Today By Deb DeArmond

Married for nearly 38 years, author Deborah DeArmond and her husband have made the spoken declaration, “I choose you today” a regular part of their communication. It’s when we least feel like saying it that we need to remind ourselves that love is a choice, not a feeling. I Choose You Today features 31 scriptural principles that support marriage and help couples develop healthy biblically based behavior.
Built on an introductory anecdotal story, each chapter has an inspirational takeaway of not only what to do, but how to begin applying the principles immediately. Thought provoking questions create talking points for couples to explore their own choices and experiences in each area serve to generate open dialogue of discovery. I Choose You Today is not a book of "shoulds," but one of clearly identified choices that each individual can make to grow their marriage and align it with the word of God. For the Right Reasons By Sean Lowe

The “virgin Bachelor” Sean Lowe reveals the challenges of finding love while championing his Christian convictions in the morally complex world of reality TV.
After The Bachelorette broke his heart, Sean Lowe suspected his “nice guy” image hurt him. The show never emphasized it, but Sean committed to living according to biblical standards of sexuality, even as producers emphasized the risqué and promiscuous. A Texas boy from a Baptist home, Sean tells the story of how he went from a Division I college football player to a fan favorite on reality television, taking readers behind the scenes of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette to see the challenges of living out his values and faith—and ultimately winning his true love’s heart.
For the Right Reasons is about the journeys we all have to take in the real world, where being “good” is the right thing to do but sometimes doesn’t seem to be enough; where betrayal is commonplace; and where that thing called perfection is actually just a cruel myth. Sean learned a few things from his two seasons on the hottest romance shows on television, and he wants others to benefit from those lessons: good does eventually win, lies will be discovered, and “nice guys” do ultimately finish first.

Sean Lowe, one of the three finalists on Emily Maynard’s popular season of The Bachelorette, later starred in the 2013 season of The Bachelor. Credited by the New York Times for “reinvigorating the franchise,” he has been voted America’s favorite Bachelor and is the only one to marry his match from the show. Sean and his bride, Catherine, live in Dallas, Texas, with their two dogs, Ellie and Lola.

This is one tell all you will want to read. You will NOT be able to put it down once you crack it open I will warn you.
After reading this book Sean is the kind of man all girls dream about and wish they would someday marry.
The Lord has sure blessed him in his life time and Sean is not afraid to tell you all about it.
I was so intrigued by this whole book. Please even if you are not a fan of the Bachelor reality TV show you must read Sean's story.
Catherine is one very blessed lady that for sure.
I gave this book 5 stars two times! I HIGHLY recommend it.

Loved back to Life By Shelia Walsh

Join Sheila Walsh on her journey from despair to joy
Beautiful and talented, Sheila Walsh was at the pinnacle of her career, appearing daily on television as cohost of The 700 Club. One day she found herself walking away from it all and checking in to a psychiatric hospital, where she stayed for a month.
From the outside everything seemed fine, but on the inside Sheila was in trouble. In her journal she wrote, “Lord, please hold me. I’m falling into a dark well. I feel as if I am disappearing a little more every day. I am so angry inside that I am afraid of myself. I feel so alone.” How did this happen? What brought her to her knees?
Loved Back to Life takes readers on Sheila’s journey of the soul from hopelessness to joy as she finds that although the road was scary, at every turn God beckoned her to follow and trust Him. And He did not let her down.

What a powerful story. Shelia has poured her heart out and touched on what so many of us have hidden for many years.
Shelia has written one of the hardest books to write, a tell all of her darkest time and how she got though it  with the love of the Lord.

It touched on things I myself have been going though and I was touched deeply by this book.
I gave this book 5 stars and I HIGHLY recommend it. I plan to keep a copy of this book and read it over and over again!

A Thing of Beauty By Lisa Samson

It’s a wonder to behold what happens when love moves in . . .
Former child star Fiona Hume deserted the movie biz a decade ago--right after she left rehab. She landed in Baltimore, bought a dilapidated old mansion downtown, and hatched dreams of restoring it into a masterpiece, complete with a studio for herself. She would disappear from public view and live an artist’s life.
That was the plan.
Ten years later, Fiona’s huge house is filled with junk purchased at thrift stores, haggled over at yard sales, or picked up from the side of the road. Each piece was destined for an art project . . . but all she’s got so far is a piece of twine with some antique buttons threaded down its length.
She’s thirty-two years old and still recognizable, but Fiona’s money has finally run out. She’s gotten pretty desperate, too, and in her desperation she’s willing to do almost anything for money. Almost. So it is that she comes to rent out the maid’s quarters to a local blacksmith named Josia Yeu.
Josia is everything Fiona isn’t: gregarious, peaceful, in control without controlling . . . in short, happy. As the light from the maid’s quarters begins to permeate the dank rooms of Fiona’s world, something else begins to transform as well—something inside Fiona. Something even she can see is beautiful.

Miraculous Relationship presents true-life encounters with angels and the Holy Spirit. My sister, Alanna Lefsaker, my friend, Jeannine Dae and I want to share our life-altering experiences and declare that God designed us to be in relationship with Him. We are just every day people who discovered God’s compassion and love for us. • If God is real, where is He? Once invited, God is within us, encouraging, suggesting and consoling through the Holy Spirit. • Does God care about me or what I am enduring? God cares about every detail of your life ... from a major crisis down to the simplest desires of your heart. • Will God answer prayer? Yes, God does answer prayer - not always the way we expect, but He does respond with love and wisdom. • How will God reveal Himself to me? God can choose to connect with His kids in many different ways. It may be as dramatic as a miracle, or sometimes a quiet whisper, Bible verses or through people who respond to the urging of the Holy Spirit. God is not limited to how He communicates with His children. Once you invite Christ into your heart, you have the opportunity to have an ongoing Miraculous Relationship.

The Beekeeper's Son By Kelly Irvin

Sometimes it takes a barren landscape to see the beauty of God’s creation.
Phineas King knows better than to expect anything but shock and pity wherever he shows his face. Horribly scarred from the tragic accident that claimed his mother’s life, he chooses to keep his distance from everyone, focusing his time and energy on the bees his family raises. If no one sees him, no one can judge him. So why does he start finding excuses to seek out Deborah Lantz, the beautiful new arrival in town?
Deborah can’t get out of Bee County, Texas, soon enough. Once her mother and younger siblings are settled, she is on the first bus out of this dusty town. She is only waiting on the letter from Aaron, asking her to return to lush Tennessee to be his fraa. But that letter never comes. As she spends time getting to know Phineas—hoping to uncover the man beneath the scars—she begins to realize that she no longer minds that Aaron hasn’t sent for her.
As both Deborah and Phineas try to come to terms with lives that haven’t turned out the way they imagined, they discover that perhaps Gott’s plans for them are more extraordinary than they could have dreamed. But they need to let go of their own past sorrows and disappointments to find the joy and beauty that lies just ahead for them both.

Walk to Beautiful By Jimmy Wayne

Imagine yourself a thirteen-year-old hundreds of miles away from home, in a strange city, and your mom leaves you at a bus station parking lot and drives off into the night with her lover.
That’s the real life story of country music star Jimmy Wayne. It’s a miracle that Jimmy survived being hungry and homeless, bouncing in and out of the foster care system, and sleeping in the streets. But he didn’t just overcome great adversity in his life; he now uses his country music platform to help children everywhere, especially teenagers in foster care who are about to age out of the system.
Walk to Beautiful is the powerfully emotive account of Jimmy’s horrendous childhood and the love shown him by Russell and Bea Costner, the elderly couple who gave him a stable home and provided the chance to complete his education. Jimmy says of Bea, “She changed every cell in my body.”
It also chronicles Jimmy’s rise to fame in the music industry and his Meet Me Halfway campaign: his walk halfway across America, 1,700 miles from Nashville to Phoenix, to raise awareness for foster kids.
Join Jimmy on his walk to beautiful and see how one person really can make a difference.

What a remarkable 5 star book this was. You have no idea what people go through in their life and to read this book about a homeless kid who found his way and made it big time is just something I will not soon forget.
The story is Jimmy's story how he survived and made a difference in so many peoples lives.
