A Memoir: Healing Childhood Emotional Wounds

Our childhood emotional wounds mold us into the wounded adults we become. We cannot embrace the present and move into our future if we are living in the past. We can never step into the fullness of our calling if we are controlled by the lies we believed as truth. Life’s events molded him into the wounded adult he became from his childhood emotional wounds. Follow the spiraling path that led to near disaster. Journey with Bruce down a road to healing.

Bruce Brodowski was born in 1945 three months after his dad was killed in Germany in WWII. His mother developed cancer in 1950 and when Bruce was ten years old lost her battle with cancer in 1955. His mother's last dying wish was for him to study hard and become a doctor. Without a father around Bruce developed the classical symptoms of an orphan heart. With his mother's death he felt betrayed, unloved, unlovable, unwanted, rejected, abandoned, and just didn't fit in. He was forced to unwittingly live with an aunt, uncle, and cousin by his mother's wishes in her will. He had planned to runaway several times. His teenage years proved to be disastrous encounters in relationships. The harder he tried to be accepted, the worse he failed. College became the educational grounds for looking for love in all the wrong places, chasing women, and becoming an alcoholic. He never achieved the course grades necessary for medical school thus reinforcing his orphan heart failure complex. He also failed in marriage and a career only to succeed in bar room drinking 101. After his divorce in 1980, he spent years in bar rooms, failed relationships, and changing jobs. This resulted in escapades in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. It wasn't until he received a divine wake up call into healing ministry in 1995 that Bruce's life began to change. Then in 2007 Bruce received healing for his orphan heart. This experience profoundly impressed upon him the importance of the Father's Love and launched him to preach and teach about the Father's embrace.. Now in full time ministry, his mission is to lead people into intimacy with the Fathering heart of God through out the world.

Beware Covers and Titles can be very deceiving.
This is just one blog reviewers opinion
Where to start on this review, I'm just not sure. I hate to write reviews such as this but here goes. This book has very bad grammar issues as it needs to be edited, pages 18, 19, and 20 have the same two paragraphs twice and as you get on in to the book the stories are all over the place. it is very hard to follow along. They way some of the stories are told there is just to much private information and personal information given for my taste.
I did want to share this for all of you who always go out and buy the books that I rave about, this book has bad language through out the book I do not want anyone to be offended or waste money on a book that you can't or won't read. It is not the normal book that I review and rave about.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.

As I stated in my review the author gave me this book to read and review and when I was almost done with the book I e-mailed him and asked him to give me a call. Later on in the day he called me and I told him my concerns with the book he stated to me it had been edited and that the "Christain" editor had no trouble with all of the bad language and he also stated that he was having the book reedited  by Amazon to fix some of the very bad grammar issues that this copy I have has.  Just wanted to tell you blog readers he wanted me to pass that on to you all.

  3. There is no way i would waste my money on this. This just shows you what the world has come to. Very sad that Christian people claim to be such, you dont know the Lord if you talk nasty and do nasty things. Why in the world woukd you write it in a book for all to see. Thanks Mary

  4. A book like this could be so very helpful for people who are suffering with these issues, but I don't think that it will be one that I would want to read because of the bad language. There is enough of this floating around me that I definitely would not like to add to it by buying and reading a book with it in it! Thank you again Mary for your honest reviews!

  5. I have to say that the cover is gorgeous and the idea a good one but if there are graphically depicted scenes of gratuitous sex and filthy language that aren't necessary to the story line (which could be alluded to without being graphic) then I wouldn't be interested in reading it. Also, there is no excuse for such shoddy editing! The author should have had several people (in addition to themselves) proof read a hard copy in addition to the lousy editor at Amazon who didn't catch the duplicate paragraph.

    1. The author said he had it edited by a " Christian" editor and they had no trouble with the words being in there. Create space has it back now after the fact all the editing is being fixed is what the author said but the copy I have is not edited.

  6. As a "Christian Man" I have always have read in the Bible that you are to be set apart from the world. You don't look like the world, sound like the world or act like the world. I don't see how a book with bad words in it can be called a "Christian Book". If I wanted to read a book that had bad things in it I would read Fifty Shades of Gray.
As for the grammar and editing errors, they would confuse me. As a reader with A.D.D. I already have to read over a page twice at times. If a paragraph is written twice I would be then reading the same thing four times.

  7. what is the differences of a cursing "Christian book" and a cursing worldly book. Give up? NOTHING. I will pass on this one. Thank you for the heads up.

  8. After almost 700 books in 3 years it seems to me that you would know a well written well edited book with bad words when you see one. So I will not be reading this and make sure it does not come into my home.

  9. As a youth group leader at my church I am always looking for books to possibly help in Bible studies on working through pressures and life circumstances. If I have bought this book without reading this review I would be furious with the bad words in it.

  11. Thank you for what you do. I know this had to be a tough read for you. But thank you for reviewing this but to let us all know that it isn't what it seems because that cover is very deceiving.

  14. TO THE AUTHOR. I saw the offensive things in your book. If you would like I can break it down and tell you what page and paragraph they are in if you would like. I will do this in a private message because I don't want to offend anyone here. There are more than one place and bad word in your book. This review should wake you up and have you go back through your book.
