Mighty-E By Jordan Scavone

What do you do when you start preschool? You play! You learn! But sit in the corner and refuse to speak to anyone?... Unfortunately if youre as shy and nervous as Emma, this is what you do. Or, you can stand up, put your mask on, and firmly place your hands on your hips and stand proud. Stand and be Might-E!

Jordan J. Scavone created his first picture book at about six years old. This first book, written and drawn (well, stenciled), was titled "The Animals Look For Food". It was about, well, animals looking for food. Though not the most well-thought-out (or well written) book of all time, this did plant seeds for the future. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Children's Literature and Theater for the Young from Eastern Michigan University, Jordan began working on his first picture book. Currently Jordan is finishing up his Master's Program in Children's Literature from Eastern Michigan University. He also lives with his fiancé and cat.

Might-E! Is a cute children's book. It tackles the topic of starting a new school or possibly the first day. Scavone did such a good job developing characters and writing a book that will keep your little one interested. Kids will enjoy reading Might-E and adults will enjoy reading it to their child. Underlined in the story Scavone encourages people to be themselves. The illustrations are as good as the story itself. This is a cute, fun and smart book.
I gave this book 4 stars.
I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

  1. Sounds like a cute and helpful book for those kids getting ready for an adventure of a lifetime by starting school! Parents who are getting ready to send their child to school for the first time might benefit from reading it to their child.
