My thoughts...
I've read a few of Manchester's books in the past and have enjoyed them so when asked to feature The Menu on my blog of course I said yes. 
This was a real treat to dive into. I felt such a connection  while reading it. It is full of hope and a journey you are going to want to take.
Grab this one up and sit back and be prepared to cry a little bit.

Family, that's what this book is about.

A very gritty read and the raw language was not Manchester's normal writing.

Ashes is written with mush passion as all of Manchester's books are.

It was different then what I was used to but it's worth the read.

I would sum this book up as a coming of age book with good life lessons.

Steven Manachester wrote a fascinating book with The Changing Season. The characters are ones that you can love and really relate to. The book tackles many topics and struggles that Billy a young man encountered after his much anticipated high school graduation. This was an emotional read with some of the challenges that Billy faced. I could not get enough of Billy and his loyal companion Jimmy (his dog). This is a young adult book that would be great for someone preparing to graduate. Life lessons are great to read about.

Are you ready for  the great story tellers latest? If you are looking for a heartwarming story. With great characters then this is your book.

I liked Abby and Rick. I liked the romance and suspense. The creative writing was true to Manchester's past books.

I liked the 80's story line in this book. I am sure you will agree with me Manchester sure has a way with words.

I would have liked to have had more background on the main characters but over all the book was enjoyable.

Lessons in faith, we all need to read such wonderfully written books. This is not the first book that I have read by Steven that knocked my socks off. It is such a fantastic book. I love books with lessons in faith.

You will not be able to put this book down once you open it and star reading it.

Yes I cried while reading this book but don't you think that makes a book so much better when you have such deep emotions while reading.

I am happy to say this is a must read book that I recommend.
