A Home for Lydia, the second book in a
new romantic series from popular author Vannetta Chapman, centers again on the
Plain community of Pebble Creek and the kind, caring people there. As they face
challenges to their community from the English world, they come together to
reach out to their non-Amish neighbors while still preserving their cherished
Plain ways.
Aaron Troyer simply wants to farm like his
father and grandfather before him. But instead he finds himself overseeing the
family's small group of guest cabins nestled along the banks of Pebble Creek.
That also means he must work with the cabins' housekeeper, Lydia
Fisher.
Lydia is the most outspoken Amish woman Aaron
has ever met, and she has strong opinions about how the guest cabins are to be
run. She also desperately needs this job. Though sparks fly between boss and
employee at first, when the cabins are robbed, nothing is more important to
Aaron than making sure Lydia is safe.
Together they work to make the vacation
property profitable, but can they find out the identity of the culprit before
more damage is done? And is Lydia's dream of a home of her own more than just a
wish and a prayer?

A Home for Lydia book two in the Pebble Creek Amish series is a must read. If

itself.
I really enjoyed this book as always with all

revealing Heaven By John Price
Can Christians Trust Tales from Heaven? Yes!
Millions have read the testimonies of those who have been to heaven and returned. But what do these stories mean for Christians? How do they fit with what the Bible teaches? What do they say about who goes to heaven? After hearing over two hundred accounts of near-death experiences, the Reverend John W. Price narrates the stories of these eyewitnesses and now makes a case not only for why Christians can trust near-death accounts but for why we should treat these amazing stories as precious gifts from God.

Reverend John W. Price has been a priest of the Episcopal Church since 1965. He serves as a spiritual director and was a chaplain at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. He also is a member of the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation, which has the largest near-death experience website in the world.
Have you read Heaven is for Real or Proof of Heaven, like I have? Well it may have left you wondering what the Bible says about these near death experiences. Author John Price has finally wrote a book telling us what the Bible says about this.
This is a must read for sure if you are interested in heaven and near death experiences.
It is a very inspirational book, hard to put down. John gives explanations in a very informative way.
I for one hope that when I get to heaven I do not have to come back here.
I give this book 4 stars and I highly recommend this read. I hope that all of my friends pick up a copy of this book. You will NOT be sorry.

The Sky Beneath My Feet By Lisa Samson Giveaway!
Beth's husband won't be joining the family on
vacation at the beach this year. He's not even joining them in the house.
Instead, Rick has holed up alone in the backyard shed. Nobody knows exactly what
he's up to. Maybe he's immersing himself in prayer. Maybe he's lost his mind.
Maybe he's even the modern-day prophet or the saint the neighborhood artist
imagines him to be. But while "St. Rick" waits for an epiphany, Beth will have
to figure out what to do with herself and their teenage sons, possibly for the
rest of her life.
What happens next is both uproarious and
bittersweet: a peace march turns violent, her son is caught with drugs, and she
embarks on an ambitious road trip that turns into something nearly surreal. Will
Beth rediscover the idealistic woman she used to be, once upon a time? Can her
marriage survive Rick's backyard vigil? Will anything ever be the same? And
should it be?
Truthful, comic, heartbreaking, and magical in
the very best sense of the word, The Sky Beneath My Feet gently tears the
veil off our egos and expectations to reveal the throbbing, redemptive, and
achingly beautiful life beyond and within us.

My Amish Childhood By Jerry Eicher GIVEAWAY!
Bestselling fiction author Jerry S. Eicher
(nearly half a million books sold) turns his pen to a moving memoir of his life
growing up Amish.
Jerry's mother was nineteen years old and nine
months married when he was born. She had received Grandfather Stoll's permission
for the wedding because she agreed to help out on the farm the following year.
However, with Jerry on the way, those plans failed.
Jerry recounts his first two years of school in
the Amish community of Aylmer, Ontario and his parents' decision to move to
Honduras. Life in that beautiful Central American country is seen through an
Amish boy's eyes--and then the dark days when the community failed and the
family returned to America, much to young Jerry's regret. Jerry also tells of
his struggle as a stutterer and his eventual conversion to Christ and the
reasons for his departure from the childhood faith he
knew.
Here is a must-read for not just Jerry's
fiction fans, but also for readers curious about Amish
life.

books with more than 5 million copies sold. Many of her books have landed on the
top bestseller lists, including the New York Times, Publisher's Weekly, CBA,
ECPA, and CBD. Wanda is considered one of the founders of the Amish fiction
genre, and her work has been covered by national publications, including Time
Magazine and USA Today.
Wanda's fascination with the Amish culture developed when she met her
husband, Richard, who grew up in a Mennonite church, and whose family has a
Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Meeting her new Mennonite sister-in-laws caused
Wanda to yearn for the simpler life. In their travels, she and her husband have
become close friends with many Amish people across America. Wanda's desire to
explore their culture increased when she discovered that her great-great
grandparents were part of the Anabaptist faith.
All of Wanda's novels are based on personal research intended to accurately
portray the Amish way of life. Many of her books are well-read and trusted by
the Amish, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the
people and their customs.
Wanda's primary attraction to the Amish is their desire to live a devout
Christian life that strives to honor God, work hard, and maintain close family
ties. Whenever she visits her Amish friends, Wanda finds herself drawn to their
peaceful lifestyle, sincerity, and close family ties, which is in stark contrast
to the chaos and busyness that plagues so many modern "Englishers." Time and
time again, Wanda loses her heart in the Amish life, and she hopes her readers
will, too. For more information, visit: www.WandaBrunstetter.com

This the first book I have read by Janice.
I want to start by saying that I have heard great things about this author, how most of her books all full of humor. And fun easy reads. So I was thinking that was what I was going to be reading. A fun, easy, fast read.
While the read was cute it just felt like a first draft as if she rushed to write it.
The characters seemed way to cookie cutter to me, maybe it was just me.
So I well leave you with this, this book was not my cup of tea. I give it 3 stars.

Mary Ellis grew up close to the eastern Ohio Amish community, Geauga County, where her parents often took her to farmer's markets and woodworking fairs. She loved their peaceful, agrarian lifestyle, their respect for the land, and their strong sense of Christian community.
She and her husband now live close to the largest population of Amish in the country--a four-county area in central Ohio. They often take weekend trips to purchase produce, meet Amish families, and enjoy a simpler way of life.
Mary enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, bicycling and swimming. But her favorite pasttime is snorkeling, which she seldom gets to do living in Ohio. She is a former middle school teacher and a former saleswoman for the world's best chocolate company. Now she writes full-time and wonders why her house is still dusty and her garden has so many weeds. She is currently working on the New Beginnings series. Book 1-Living in Harmony is set in Maine and released in August. Book 2-Love Comes to Paradise is set in Missouri and will release in Feb 2013. Book 3-A Little Bit of Paradise is set in Kentucky and will release in July of 2013.

A Travel Guide to Heaven By Anthony Destefano Giveaway!
A recent Newsweek poll reports that 76
percent of Americans believe in heaven. Yet even avid believers have difficulty
conjuring up more than vague images of halos, harps, and wispy angels in flowing
robes. Anthony DeStefano knew there had to be a more complete,
meaningful, and comforting vision of what heaven is
like, and A Travel Guide to Heaven is the entertaining and enlightening
result.
Using the Bible as his guide, the author notes that heaven is not only a spiritual place, but also a physical place, a fabulous “luxury resort” more sumptuous than any on Earth. The residents are real, their bodies transformed into their most perfect selves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. By making a spiritual subject immensely physical, the book provides a picture of amazing places to visit, things to do, luxuries for pampering—not to mention deep, abiding joy. Combining the clarity and logic of C. S. Lewis with a terrific sense of fun and adventure, DeStefano creates a brilliant, reassuring portrait of heaven, a place that has intrigued and puzzled humankind throughout history. With its clear view of the afterlife, A Travel Guide to Heaven might best be compared to James Van Praagh's Talking to Heaven or Betty J. Eadie's Embraced by the Light in its tremendous message of comfort and reassurance.

Beyond the Bluegrass By Golda Harvey Giveaway!
15 Year Nightmare of Abduction, Rape and Torture...Beyond the
Bluegrass is a true story about a young woman who grew up in the backwoods of
Kentucky. At sixteen years old, Golda wanted a better life and decided to leave
her hometown to get a job to earn money for college. What Golda didn't know was
that the path she was taking her to a place where she would be kidnapped. The
police in Kentucky turned a blind eye and nobody seemed to search for her,
nobody seemed to want to help even though she desperately tried to get away.
Beaten and battered, she escaped, but then Golda was re-captured and forced back
into submission as the man threatened to murder her family. Golda couldn't put
anyone else at risk, especially her children and continued to suffer physical,
sexual, and psychological abuse for years on end, hoping that she could get away
once and for all. She ignored the pain, the gnawing inside her stomach, instead
choosing to protect the ones she loved from pain and death. Beyond the Bluegrass
depicts a woman's struggle with hope and her desire for freedom. After years of
being subject to abuse, she wasn't sure if she would survive or make it out
alive. For Golda, freedom would most certainly mean death. Golda's story changed
from one of being a victim to being a survivor. Her story is an unflinching and
honest tale of the battle with a captor and her struggle to
survive.

I only give honest reviews, and I try my best not to hurt the
author. My opinions are about the book not the author.
This book was so hard to read not because of the content but
because of the poor writing, I really think that Ms. Harvey needs a good editor,
the story jumps around and it is not telling the whole story.
I was left not knowing how she dealt with everything , how did how
kids deal with it all. Why did she go to jail? I did not get anything from the
book, all of the unanswered questions, left me hanging, I did not care for
it.
On the up side if a good editor gets a hold of this book, it may be
a huge hit.

My Baby's Feet By Sheila Luck
Choice, Death, and the Aftermath
Fearfully and desperately wanting to hide my
mistakes and deny the unwanted, but not totally unexpected ramifications of my
earlier choices, I chose what seemed to be the easiest answer. I chose death,
and then I moved into the aftermath of my choice. I, for a lifetime and beyond,
will live in the aftermath of my choice. Although there is recovery, through
forgiveness, there are lasting ramifications. No one told me that the
ramifications of my choice would last forever. No one told me what my choice
would do to my heart. No one told me that my choice was, in fact, a death
sentence for my baby.
Are you, or someone you know, facing an
unwanted pregnancy? Are you wondering if "choice" is the answer, the easiest
solution?
After the "choice" comes the aftermath. A
living choice not only gives life to a baby, but results in an aftermath of
life. Abortion results in an aftermath forever shrouded in death, death of a
baby, perhaps death of your own baby. For those struggling with the aftermath of
abortion, you and your loved ones can find forgiveness.
This book is for:
• Teenage moms wrestling with choice and an
unplanned pregnancy
• Loved ones who are seeking resolution after
abortion
• Anyone who needs hope and healing after
abortion
This book is a great tool for teen pregnancy
educators, pregnancy center advisors, and those seeking to learn more about the
emotional struggles, post abortion. It is written out of love and understanding
by a woman who thought her choice was the best answer. Whether or not you are a
Christian, you will be inspired by the author's incredible faith, without which
it would have been impossible to write this book.
Through my story, I pray that you will know
that a living choice is the only real choice.
Join me in my story of running from my
mistakes, hiding my choice, and slogging through the aftermath. Come with me as
I discover a new truth about an old choice. Join me as I struggle with guilt and
heartfelt shame, knowing the new truth. Observe the aftermath.
What choice would you have made? What choice
would you recommend?

Another Second Chance... God's Story By Troy Lewis
How a stranger's kidney saved my life ...And my brothers too!
Troy played Jesus Christ in a local passion drama for 9 years. He successfully coached girls fastpitch softball for 7 years. He and his wife had two beautiful girls.
But in January of 2010, after being blindsided with the news of kidney failure, the man from Ohio came to the realization that life as he knew it was over... He began a race against time, struggling at every turn, taking detours that didn't make sense, and facing roadblocks that tested his faith. When things looked absolutely hopeless, Hope showed up in a miraculous way!
Troy thought it was a brother's love that would save him, but it was a Father's love that saved them both. A thousand miles away a stranger felt a call to courageously give with nothing expected in return, not knowing that he had the rarest of kidneys.
Troy couldn't have imagined what God had in store for all who were part of this story. Hollywood couldn't have scripted it. He humbly encourages everyone reading this book to believe that, no matter what we are facing in life, we can experience the revelation of what God has in store for our lives.
This book will speak to anyone facing challenges larger than themselves, whether it's job loss, financial ruin, family pain, or your own battle with illness. Miracles still happen and there is always "Another Second Chance".

This book will speak to anyone facing challenges larger than themselves, whether it's job loss, financial ruin, family pain, or your own battle with illness. Miracles still happen and there is always "Another Second Chance".

Let me start this review off by saying most of you know me personally and know that I have been very sick with my kidneys for years. This book could not have come at a better time for me. The Lord knew that I needed to read this now.
My best friend found Troy on line and she said you have to read this book it is just what you need right now. Well with out further a do, she sent a message to Troy asking him to send me a copy to read and review. And he gladly mailed a copy right out to me.
The day I got Troy's book in the mail I also got 5 more books to review so I set out reading them and never thought about Troys book until I went to the book shelf picked it up the next in line to be reviewed and it was Another Second Chance and I started reading it. I was in awe of this awe inspiring book. It touched me so deep. This book is such an inspiration to me that I will read it over and over again.
I cried so many times reading this book, happy tears, tears of joy. I feel like Troy AKA Jesus ( you will get this after you read the book) was meant to be a part of my life even if just through his book.
I want all of you who love me and are a part of my life to read this book as soon as you can. You will get to look into my world a little by reading this book. If you read no other book this year PLEASE READ THIS ONE.
I am crying so hard as I am sitting here typing to you all. Most of you know I don't like long reviews but I felt those of you who loved me would really like to know how I felt about this book.
I am sure that you will see God on every page just as I did!
You will even get to meet Jay who by the way is Troy's angel.
