Over Maya Dead Body By Sandra Orchard

FBI Special Agent Serena Jones arrives on Martha's Vineyard with her family, ready for a little bit of R&R and a whole lot of reminiscing as they celebrate the engagement of an old family friend. But crime doesn't take a vacation, and she's soon entangled in an investigation of a suspicious death tied to an antiquities smuggling ring.

When her investigation propels her into danger, Serena must stay the course and solve this case before anyone else dies. But just how is she supposed to do that when the two men in her life arrive on the scene, bringing with them plenty of romantic complications--and even a secret or two?

Award-winning author Sandra Orchard keeps readers guessing with this fast-paced mystery laced with romance.

My Thoughts...
Looking for a different mystery? This might be your book. I was not really fond of it. But I have to be pulled into a book from the very start. This one was not one to pull me in from the beginning. It was a good clean read it was just one I enjoyed at the time I read it.
Maybe it was just me and I was not ready to read a mystery at this time. So give it a shot and see if you might enjoy it.
I gave this one 3 stars.

  1. Sorry that you did not enjoy reading this. I don't think from the title alone that I would like it.

  9. This is the third one of the series and really needs to be read with the first two (A Fool and His Monet & Another Day, Another Dali). These titles are quirky because they are considered more of a cozy mystery and Sandra is a wonderful author! I, for one, would love to read this series :-)

Cozy mysteries are lighter reads with quirky characters/titles and plots, and a mystery to be solved. Classic whodunits ;-)

    2. If these weren't your thing Mary, she also writes for Love Inspired Suspense and has a three book series called Port Aster Secrets (all these being suspense). In case you were wanting to try something else from Sandra :-) Your library may carry them too!

P.S. I meant to say, I haven't read this book you are featuring or the other two in the series, but would love to ;-)
